I was heavily inspired by all the art and architecture I saw when studying in Paris during the summer of 2023, such as the Saint-Sébastien Froissart Métro station. Taking inspiration from Alberto Magnelli’s "Explosion lyrique n° 2," which I saw during my trip, I aspired to create a distorted version of the Métro station while adding my own spirit. I embedded an abstract and ambiguous advertisement in the painting, and was so inspired by the new advertisement that I decided to create a second painting exploring it. I strived to make this diptych interpretive, allowing viewers to feel whatever they feel when waiting for the train or arriving at a new place.
